Title:

Pii: Pushing Boundaries with Alcive Bending in Computational Design

Project Description:

Pii, led by Maria Mallo , is an independent research project exploring innovative architectural design. My role as a 3D Designer and Digital Manufacturing expert involved incorporating advanced computational design techniques, particularly alcive bending, to achieve groundbreaking results.

Alcive Bending in Focus: Alcive bending, a sophisticated computational design method, played a pivotal role in shaping the project's wooden elements. By leveraging computational simulations, we optimized curvature, creating structurally sound and visually striking forms beyond traditional bending methods.

Collaborative Efforts:

Working closely with Ana Delgado Gordillo, Maria Arenillas, and Maria Suja, we navigated challenges and refined alcive bending techniques. Our collaboration fostered an environment of innovation, propelling the project towards its ambitious goals.

Impact and Future Prospects:

Pii's success showcases the transformative potential of alcive bending in computational design. As computational design evolves, integrating techniques like alcive bending holds promise for pushing architectural boundaries further.

Conclusion:

Pii exemplifies the fusion of computational design and architectural innovation. Through alcive bending, we've not only created a remarkable structure but also expanded possibilities in architectural exploration.
